  • House of Losing Control 53 Nordwestbahnstraße Wien, Wien, 1200 Austria (map)

DISCUSSION PANEL - Join Vienna Art Week for a discussion with 6 experts in the House of Losing Control to discuss current topics in the art world. This year, the discussion will focus on NFT art, social movements, and inclusion. What influences do NFTs have on the art world? Is access to art facilitated by this new digital medium for collectors, curators, artists and viewers? How has the Viennese and international art scene changed through the digital and social movements in the last two years and what still needs to be done to make the art world truly more inclusive and equitable?

Speakers: Jess Conatser, independent curator, New York, initiator of #digitalartmonth., Ben Gentilli, artist and NFT specialist, founder of Robert Alice (@robertalice_21), Louise Deininger, African conceptual artist, author and president of GYCO and co-president of VBKÖ (@louisedeininger), Jochen Kienzle, collector, Berlin, Jutta Scheibelberger, Vienna Business Agency, Creativity & Business, Gregor Podnar, gallery owner, Berlin/Vienna (@gregorpodnar)
Moderation: Julia Hartmann, freelance curator, Vienna #viennaartweek (@julesandart)

About Vienna Art Week:

VIENNA ART WEEK was founded in 2005 and shines a spotlight on Vienna’s vibrant art scene every November. Together with around 70 program partners, the festival offers a week of inspiring art from the Baroque to the present with free admission and has become one of the most important art events in the Danube region, attracting around 35,000 visitors each year.

Each year, the festival program includes around 140 events and ranges from guided tours and studio visits to expert talks, performances, workshops and exhibition openings as well as lectures, symposia, and interventions in public spaces.

Additionally to being a festival, VIENNA ART WEEK sees itself as a joint platform of the Viennese art community and is based on a cooperation of Viennese art institutions, art universities, galleries, independent art spaces, and artists that is unique worldwide. Our year-round art calendar on the website shows the visitors the diverse offer of the city.
